Truth
Truth is hard find. Like beauty, it is often defined by the beholder. What one perceives as truth depends upon experience. When you expose yourself to education or to mass communication media, you are shaping your concepts of what is true and believable. Promises and predictions about the future cannot be proved true or false. After the fact they may be evaluated but different people will see things diferently.
Trust
One acquires trust through honesty, charisma, and familiarity. With trust comes power. When you trust someone, you give them power over you. When you trust someone to invest your money, you are surrendering power and responsibility.
Money
Money is power. Money comes from work. It also comes from luck. Of course money begets money. Money earns interest. Money earns favors. Money is measurable. Money in fungeble.
Luck
Never overlook the role of luck. Do not mistake luck for virtue. You are not virtuous because you are born wealthy in America. You are lucky. You did nothing to deserve such luck.
Power
With money and trust comes power. Power may be used for good or evil. Power may be used to build or to destroy. Power may be used to solve problems or to create problems.
Responsibility
With power comes responsibility.
Interdependence
Man cannot survive alone. Modern, urban man is very dependent upon the services of others. This dependence greatly limits our freedom. We adapt our lives to the constraints of our dependencies.
